Liza Campbell

Liza Campbell studied art at Chelsea, worked in CCA art gallery, worked as a freelance journalist to support herself as an artist.

Her work has moved from engraving soapstone, to collage, followed by the ‘dark boxes’ sardonic dioramas of life’s tiny disasters.  Recently she has been working on ‘word lists’ that look at our neuroses and how we use vernacular, also maps which are an ongoing theme in all her work & also sewn work that subverts the domestic tapestry.  Her influences are Saul Steinberg, Edward Gorey and Charles Addams.
